Uninstall ExpoThemes Manager

Before you go..

ExpoThemes provides you exclusive themes and customization options unlikely to find anywhere else. We have hundreds of themes you can choose from. Use search function above menu to locate themes. ExpoThemes products are used by millions of users across the world.

Is ExpoThemes products safe and secure?

Yes. All products from ExpoThemes are free of cost and does not affect users computer in any way except some customization option for which you choose us. We don’t bundle ad-offers or additional software apart  from our standard theme files. If you find such product or sites providing our product with bundled offers please report us.

Ok. May be you still want to go. Use below procedure to remove our products.

For Windows 7

The process is very simple. We have made Uninstaller that you can use to automate the process. Download and run ExUninstaller, it will do everything.

Download ExUninstaller (Win 7)

In most cases ExUnisntaller should work. If in case ExUnintaller doesn’t work then you can continue manually. Follow below process step by step.

  • Stop ExpoThemes Manager

Look for ExpoThemes icon in system tray. Right click it and select Exit. You can also do end task from task manager.

  • Disable Startup

Click start button, search for msconfig. Goto startup and uncheck ExpoThemes Manager.

  • Reset Logon Screen (Optional)

Paste below key in text file and save the file with extension .reg. Execute the file by double clicking. Alternately you can use registry keys bundled in ExUninstaller zip.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background]
"OEMBackground"=dword:00000000

This will reset your logon screen to default image.
  • Reset User Account Picture (Optional)

Paste below key in text file and save the file with extension .reg. Execute the file by double clicking.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] “UseDefaultTile”=

Now you’ll be able to change user account picture from control panel

  • Reset RocketDock Icons (Optional)

If you applied RocketDock icons, backup of previous icons are stored in C:\Program Files\ExpoThemes\dock_backup\ folder. Copy them to C:\Program Files\RocketDock\Icons folder.

  • Delete All Themes (Optional)

All themes files are stored in C:\Program Files\ExpoThemes folder, delete if necessary.

In case of 64-bit systems all files are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\ExpoThemes .

 

For Windows 8

Download and run Windows 8 version of ExUninstaller, it will do everything. If it doesnt work, try manual process

Download ExUninstaller (Win 8)

Manual Process:

  • Stop ExpoThemes Manager

Look for ExpoThemes icon in system tray. Right click it and select Exit.

  • Disable Startup

Right click Task bar and click Task Manager. Goto startup and disable Ex8Starter by right clicking.

  • Reset RocketDock Icons (Optional)

If you applied RocketDock icons then backup of previous icons are stored in C:\Program Files\ExpoThemes\dock_backup\ folder. Copy them to C:\Program Files\RocketDock\Icons folder.

  • Delete All Themes (Optional)

All themes files are stored in C:\Program Files\ExpoThemes folder, delete if necessary.

In case of 64-bit systems all files are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\ExpoThemes .

 

For Windows 10

Download and run Windows 8 version of ExUninstaller, it will do everything. If it doesnt work, try manual process

Download ExUninstaller (Win 8)

Manual Process:

  • Disable Startup

Right click Task bar and click Task Manager. Goto startup and disable ExpoThemes_Manager by right clicking and disable.

  • Reset RocketDock Icons (Optional)

If you applied RocketDock icons then backup of previous icons are stored in C:\Program Files\ExpoThemes\dock_backup\ folder. Copy them to C:\Program Files\RocketDock\Icons folder.

  • Delete All Themes (Optional)

All themes files are stored in C:\Program Files\ExpoThemes folder, delete if necessary.

In case of 64-bit systems all files are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\ExpoThemes .

Windows 10

You can reset Windows 10 login screen with the use of command prompt. Press Command Key (Window) and search for cmd and press enter. Paste below line with respect to your system is, 64-bit or 32-bit. If you are not sure which type of operating system you are using, you can paste both line and one would fail without any effect while other will work.

64-Bit Systems

“C:\Program Files (x86)\ExpoThemes\ExpoThemes_Manager.exe” -r

 

32-Bit Systems

“C:\Program Files\ExpoThemes\ExpoThemes_Manager.exe” -r
